Anthony Edwards, born Anthony Charles Edwards on July 19, 1962, in Santa Barbara, California, is an American actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Mark Greene on the first eight seasons of the popular medical drama series "ER."

Edwards also starred in the 1983 film "Top Gun" alongside Tom Cruise. For his performance in "ER," he received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
