Comedian Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy Split After One Year of Dating
Handler Announced the Breakup on Instagram with a Heartfelt Video
"It is with a heavy heart to announce that Jo Koy and I have decided to split," Handler wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. "I know many of you were invested in our journey, and I just want you all to know that we have loved every minute of it."
Handler, 48, and Koy, 52, began dating in September 2021. They quickly became a public couple, sharing photos and videos of their travels and adventures together. In July 2022, they celebrated their one-year anniversary with a touching video montage.
Handler did not share any specific reasons for the split. However, she did say that she and Koy "tried our best" and that they "still have love for each other."
Handler also asked for privacy during this time. "Please give us some space while we navigate this transition," she wrote.
Koy has not yet commented on the breakup. However, he did share a cryptic quote on his Instagram story that same day. The quote read, "The hardest part is letting go."
Handler and Koy's breakup has come as a surprise to many of their fans. The couple had seemed very happy and in love. However, it is important to remember that every relationship is different, and sometimes things just don't work out.
